Nexus Services Moves Corporate Headquarters to Mill Place Office Park in Augusta County

Invests $22 Million; Creates New Jobs

The Augusta County Board of Supervisors announced today that Nexus Services will invest $22 million and create 250 jobs over the next three years at Mill Place Office Park in Augusta County, where it will relocate its corporate US headquarters.

Mill Place Office Park, Phase I, was built in 2006 by Mill Place Office Park LC, a division of Countryside Holdings Incorporated.  Since its development, it has served as the location for many businesses, several of which have gone on to build expanded stand-alone operations in Mill Place Commerce Park.   Presently, the following companies call Mill Place Office Park home:  A. Morton Thomas, Davis Strategies, Blue Maple Title, Jennifer Cline, PhD, Interim Health Care, and McCormick Taylor, whose recent expansion last year prompted the construction of Phase II.

As part of its growth plan, Nexus will purchase Mill Place Office Park and construct Phase III, a 10,000 square-foot building customized for Nexus’ diverse needs.  Phase III is expected to be complete by December 2015.  While Nexus will occupy a large percentage of Mill Place Office Park offices, the campus-style environment will continue to host multiple tenants.

Mike Shull, Chairman of the Augusta County Board of Supervisors, presided over the groundbreaking ceremony today and said, “We welcome the Nexus family of companies to Augusta County.  It was through Frank Root’s entrepreneurial vision and cooperation with the County that Mill Place Office Park was developed, and we look forward to continuing to work with Nexus in the same spirit in the years ahead.”

Mike Donovan, President of Nexus Services, said of the new corporate office location, “We are fortunate to employ exceptional people, and Augusta County will provide an incredible place to raise their families.  We look forward to being a part of the Augusta County family and growing our companies in this wonderful community.”

Immediately, the company will move 42 full-time jobs to Augusta County, and by December of 2015 projects a workforce of 80 to 100 people at the Mill Place corporate office location.  “Nexus Services is a great addition to Augusta County’s corporate community, and I’m excited to see the next chapter of Mill Place Office Park unfold,” said Frank Root, President of Countryside who has owned and developed the office park since 2006.
