Agritourism & Farmers’ Markets
Augusta County is a key partner in the Fields of Gold agritourism trail. We encourage citizens and visitors to experience what we have to offer by eating, picking, growing, and taking something home. We are also home to Polyface, the nationally-recognized “beyond organic” farm of Joel Salatin, who gained fame in the bestselling book The Omnivores Dilemma. Our four area farmers’ markets operate from spring through fall and feature fresh produce, summer berries, homemade breads and pastries, naturally-raised meats, and dairy products.
